Can I run secret santa without paper slips or a WhatsApp chain?

When does secret santa usually happen?
In the US it tends to land at the office, friends, or family holiday party, somewhere between mid and late December. In Melchor you can set it up weeks ahead so there's time to fill the lists.
Does it work for an office or workplace secret santa?
Yes. It works the same with coworkers: you set a shared budget and everyone notes what they like.
How many people can be in a group?
No hard limit. Most run 5 to 30 people, but it works with bigger groups too.
Do my friends need the app to join?
